Just ordered 6 patch panels, a rear view mirror, and a parking brake release lever for the truck, and all that, with shipping, only cost $142. Try only spending $142 to replace just one body panel on a new car. I love old american steel.

LMC is the shizz, agreed. Generally don't have much call to get stuff from them, but those rare occasions...

A real Jalop would smelt the iron ore for the steel by hand using a diesel-burning furnace.

Fair enough. But 6 patch panels for less than $100 is a pretty smokin deal.

Any idea if they stamp said replacement steel in the US? I'd guess yest just because its expensive to ship body panels. Unfortunately, I doubt the steel they used to make the replacement panels was made in the states.

Very possible. I was more saying I love that my truck was originally made out of steel, and thus, patch panels are relatively affordable and easy to replace.

LMC is fantastic. Bought several items from them for my '95 F-150, including a re-manufactured fuel pump/sender assembly for the rear gas tank. Apparently these things are impossible to get and if you get them from Ford they want like $500-600. LMC had the hook up for WAY less. Prices are reasonable and their selection is incredible. I find their shipping to be a little expensive, but I might just be spoiled by my Amazon Prime membership.

Related question: Anyone have a recommendation for somewhere to get replacement door skins/cards? I think my best shot is a scrap yard because everything online is crazy expensive. I have some broken mounting tabs that drive me crazy, but not enough that I would pay $500 for door skins on my $3,500 truck.

Truth. I am of the exact same mindset. The less plastic on my vehicles the better!

I miss the bicolor design of the old trucks.

LMC Truck and sister company Victoria British. I spend too much money with them.

Repro fenders for my Cutlass cost $400 each. I wish my old American steel was that cheap.
